HB0167: Mental Illness Psychotherapy Drug Task Force
Overview: This bill would not legalize or decriminalize any psychedelic compounds for medical or recreational use but would position state lawmakers to be able to thoughtfully reconsider the role of certain scheduled compounds in mental health treatment. The proposed legislation would require the task force to provide a written report of their findings to the Utah State Legislature’s Health and Human Services Interim Committee by October 31, 2022. The task force’s recommendations may pave the way for future legalization efforts.
