All of the state’s drug scheduling will correspond to scheduling applied by the federal Controlled Substances ActThanks to HB 143 (2011) which sought to address the state’s growing prison population, simple possession of a Schedule I drug usually results in presumptive probation and felony possession in deferred prosecution. These lighter penalties are often conditional on the defendant enrolling in a substance abuse treatment program.

Summary: In a field of yellow wildflowers at a large metropolitan park on a perfect spring Sunday afternoon, a small Louisville church congregation was sitting on blankets, about to microdose psilocybin mushrooms.
While not technically an advocacy group, a small Louisville group called Psanctuary: The Sacred Mushroom Church practices the sacrament of psilocybin (the compound in magic mushrooms).
